Perry Stone has always been inspired by what can be, and not what is. His influences and inspirations run an eclectic gamut from Gabriel García Márquez to Jacques Couteau, from Elon Musk to Jack Kerouac, from Ayn Rand to Hunter S. Thompson, from Terry Fox to Steven Tyler, and yet he identifies with the underdog.
He loves challenges, learning new tricks, and the occasional margarita. As an ultra-endurance cyclist, he is the only person to ever race around the continent of Australia three times. Born in a semi-frozen land, he has spent a good portion of his life tanning his carcass and calling the tropics his home. His love for nature is his love for mankind. He often jokes that he found God through bikinis—because every time he sees one, he prays.
He created Palm Tree Express, a Trip to the Never Never, to pay it forward and inspire others to pursue their flip-flop dreams. The first day someone walks up to me at a seaside bar and buys me a drink and tells me they are there because of my words, I will be the happiest man in paradise.
